I really enjoyed my stay at this charming hotel. The character of the place is delightful, and while the rooms have a bit of noise from the thin walls, it adds to the historic charm. The location is outstanding, offering breathtaking views and a perfect opportunity to explore the outdoors. However, I found the dining experience to be a little overpriced for what was offered. Overall, it was a cozy and wonderful getaway with just a few minor drawbacks.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the location is stunning and the historic charm of the lodge is wonderful, some issues with room comfort and dining options left me wanting more. The services were generally good, but the high prices for meals might deter some visitors. Overall, it was an interesting stay, and I would consider returning.

Rooms
5.0
The room was quite small and lacked proper ventilation, making it hot and stuffy. I was disappointed that it was not clean upon our arrival, which took extra time to resolve.

The staff was mostly responsive to our needs, especially when dealing with the room issue. They offered us a free breakfast for the inconvenience, which was appreciated.

The location is absolutely breathtaking, right on the mountain with amazing views. It felt like a unique getaway in a beautiful setting.
Dining

Dining options were limited, and the prices in the main dining room were steep. It’s better to plan to eat at the bar/cafe for better value.

The historical elements of the lodge are lovely, and the common areas were quaint. However, the lack of air conditioning can be uncomfortable during warm periods.

My stay at Timberline was a memorable experience, rich in both history and warmth. The lodge's rustic charm is captivating, and the staff genuinely made me feel at home. However, I did find the noise levels a bit higher than I'd prefer, especially at night, which could be a drawback for some. Overall, a great place if you embrace its character and lively atmosphere.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms had a cozy, historical feel, but they were small and not soundproof. I appreciated the comfortable beds and the warm ambiance, although the close quarters might not be ideal for everyone.

Dining
7.0
The dining experience was beautiful, and the views of the mountain were breathtaking. However, I found the menu limited and on the expensive side.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities reflect the lodge's historic character, but some amenities might feel antiquated for modern tastes. Still, the charm and warmth made up for that.

I had an enjoyable stay at the lodge, which is steeped in history and offers stunning views of Mt. Hood. The breakfast was a standout, especially the timber toast and eggs Benedict. While the room was spacious and charmingly historical, it was also quite noisy and too warm for comfort. The dining options were fantastic, but the facilities, including the pool, left much to be desired. Overall, it was a memorable experience, but there were some drawbacks that should be addressed.

Rooms
6.0
Our room (#107) was spacious and historical, but the noise level was unacceptable, and the temperature control was poor.
Service

The lodge staff were friendly and accommodating, but we encountered some inconsistency in their attentiveness.
Location

The lodge is set in a picturesque mountain spot, perfect for enjoying the scenery and hiking trails.
Dining

The on-site dining was excellent, with regional cuisine that was both delicious and reasonably priced.

This hotel is a charming piece of history with breathtaking views and a unique atmosphere. The friendly staff truly enhance the experience by providing excellent service, and the creative dining options are a delightful surprise. However, be prepared for the steep prices and some outdated amenities that reflect its age. Still, it’s the perfect place to immerse yourself in the beauty of Mount Hood.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was quaint and decent, but given its price tag of $300 a night, I felt it was a bit overpriced. The absence of air conditioning requires some creativity to keep the room cool during warmer months.
Service
9.0
The staff was incredibly courteous and professional, quickly addressing my concerns with no hassle at all. They even provided me with an extension cord to get my fan working, which I greatly appreciated.
Location
10.0
The location is absolutely spectacular, nestled right by Mount Hood with stunning views of the mountain. This setting is what first attracted me to the hotel, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Dining
9.0
The dining options were superb, with a creative menu offering an array of unique flavors. I really enjoyed my meals, particularly the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had and the delicious roasted Filbert's.
Facilities
7.0
While the hotel embodies a historic charm, I found the facilities slightly dated. The hotel could benefit from some modernization in terms of amenities, especially considering the price range.
